I’ve been doing this for about seven years now and I’ve had so many people decline to do Solar because they were skeptical about everything from the savings to the equipment to whatever.
 
The bottom line is that most of us have already spent thousands and thousands of dollars over the years paying our electric bills with nothing in return except some lights and some AC. It was rented, but it was never owned.
At least today you have a choice in how you pay for electricity. You can pay for it one time through purchasing solar, taking advantages of the incentives given to you and increase the value of your home by giving it the equipment it needs to generate its own electricity.
 
But even if you’re not in the position to purchase the solar and take advantage of the state and federal incentives… you can now get solar put on your roof for no money out of your pocket other than to pay the “rent” to somebody else rather than Ameren and still save thousands of dollars over the years.
 
Here’s the thing. You really do have choices. The only thing keeping you from looking into this is the fear of the unknown. And there is a very old saying that you have nothing to fear but fear itself.

Good day everybody… My name is Chris Hess and I am the owner of Simply Solar Illinois located in Bethalto, Illinois.  My wife, Nikki, and I have lived here for almost 7 years and were partially responsible for the success of Excel Home Solar. 
 
Excel Home Solar was acquired in 2022 by Vista Energy Renewables and we still work very closely with Vista to this day at our location in Bethalto. But not exclusively. 
 
Having been in the energy industry since 2010 I’ve learned that some companies do some things very well but not everything. With me and my team at Simply Solar…..I have a solution for any need whether it be residential, small or large commercial, agricultural, industrial or municipal.
 
Navigating solar can be tricky and it’s extremely important that you choose a company that is not only based here and cares about our community but one that knows all the ins and outs of the Illinois Shines program. 
 
There are a lot of companies in here from out of state that simply don’t care about you and should you ever need help in the future… GOOD LUCK!!!!!
 
I don’t care if you talk to the competitors. In fact, I would encourage you to talk to them first. But don’t make any final decision without having spoken to me LAST! I promise you will see and feel the difference.
